Honor Guard

Honor Guard Member Near MemorialThe FFD Honor Guard is a dedicated group of personnel that is made up of both current and retired employees of the Fayetteville Fire/Emergency Management Department.  The initial formation of the team happened in 1988.  Since then, there have been numerous people that have admirably served on the FFD Honor Guard.  The Honor Guard provides an array of different services for the department.  They include:  promotional ceremonies, new recruit graduation and retirement ceremonies, funeral services for both active duty and retired personnel, and other ceremonies held throughout the county.  Services to neighboring organizations are available upon request as well.  The FFD Honor Guard provides a tradition of dignity, respect, and compassion aligned with the group motto:  Honoring those who served.

20th Emergency Services Memorial  


Saturday, October 12, 2019 @ 11:00am

All are invited to attend this annual memorial service to honor Firefighters and EMS workers who have sacrificed their lives serving the citizens of Cumberland County and Fort Bragg.  

The memorial site is located on Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) Main Campus, 2201 Hull Road next to Cumberland Hall.
